The concept development covers the idea of the product, it explains visually how the product will do all it’s required functions while satisfying all the constraints like size, cost, look and feel, manufacturability, etc. In order to get to the optimal concept we first need to go through diversification processes where we take many ideas and later intensify on the best ideas until we find the best ideas to achieve the desired functionality while satisfying the constraints. This results in the final concept, the one that will be developed in later stages.
